Jim Croce - Working at the Car Wash Blues.
They were Heavenly Souls here on earth. God rest your souls in Heaven, Jim, and Maury.
I’m 65. I worked at a car wash in Vegas in 70 for 1 day in the summer. I said fu&k this sh@t. Best move I ever made. I’m retired now. 😂
Timeless advice. I did it and highly recommend it...
Am I the only one who see’s John being a little over-the-top while Steve is reluctant and maybe regretting singing this him? Watch their eyes…
Factory aint paying anymore. Now working a second job at a car wash that just open. Honestly it aint too bad for a little extra cash on hand.
It is what it is! Same message, circa 2024! 🤷♀️😝🤔

Because of Jim Croce I bought my first guitar and learned how to play it...later when I had my son I taught him some chords and he now makes his living with music.
The first time heard his music I was living in finglas Eire in the late 70s. I love all music but his music is for the people and is very poetic and in touch with the everyday person. Miss him so much. Still we have a multitude of his brilliant songs to listen to Jim Croce rip. 🇮🇪💚💚
Alaska loves John Prine a musician for the people
Ending 2023, sipping on a frosty, reliving my youth. They wouldn't listen to the fact that I was a genius, Man said we got all that we can use Jimmy nailed it.
When you hear any John Prine song you are instantly transported back to a much happier time. Miss you John.
The facial reactions of the girl and her grandmother get a laugh out of me every time😄
Can't we please petition to rename this the original title of "Making Mooney Eyes at Big Jimbo Blues"
Why is that man making those big mooney eyes at Jimbo?
Jim was such a great storyteller. I regret that all I have is his greatest hits album, but I would love to listen to everything he's ever done. His songs make me happy, but then I get sad that he's gone - his plane crashed in Louisiana, which is where I live, which makes it doubly sad for me. Before Jim died, I had a boyfriend who couldn't put his feelings into words, and he played "I'll have to say I love you in a song" for me. Boyfriend long gone but the memory is still there. Thank you, Jim, you really made an impact on my life.
It's almost a blessing they died together because how could one of them lived with himself after losing the other.....
I love how he has his wallet in sticking out in his back pocket. You wouldn't see that today!

The greatest storyteller this world offered ❤
Perfection! ❤

I remember Gonzo singing that song from the Muppet Show
I first listened to John Prine in 1976. Instantly fell in love with his ability to tell a good story.
What was the tittle in the end?
something about the Ameriquest mortgage company
He's one of my favorite singer/songwriters.
Hermosa interpretación y será eternamente recordada.
If I may speak for all John Prine fans ... We don't just like John Prine; we love John Prine. Thank God music is forever so we can forever sing John Prine songs. (We don't just listen to them, we sing right along too.)

YES SIR, MY WIFE AND I ENJOY IT - BRAVO!!!!!!!!!
1:24 hits a little harder with both of them gone
Maury is always looking at Jim with this look of regard, admiration, something. They were so in tune
He was one of best. Great songwriter. He is missed greatly.
Man, such class! Very well done!
San Judas Tadeo John Prine

Wow, I used to have hair like the guy on the left...back in 1972. Guess the warranty expired on the hair, but I still love this song. We lost Jim way too young. --Old Guy
My favorite Jim Croce song.
Awesome
Jim Croce's death was more tragic than Hendrix, Joplin, and Morrison combined. What a huge loss.
What the hell was John Prine tuned to if he is playing a G chord? I'm playing this in an E shape, capo 1st fret. So we are in F major, standard 1 4 5 kind of thing...The overall point here is John Prine's majesty as a wordsmith and amazing songwriter. But technically I have no idea what is happening with his tuning. Maybe they had him tuned way down to make playing easier on his hands?
Tuned down a whole tone.
All he needs is his guitar. Glad I mine. Marty helps me through.
I heard this song yesterday on the radio. It's been years since I've heard this but I remembered most of lyrics as it played and I found myself singing along. Thank goodness there was no one around to hear my voice. I had to look this up on RUclips and hear it again. The one and only Jim Croce!
gone too soon we couldve had more of this great stuff
Jimmy looked like he was 60 years old
